{"id":548,"date":"2020-08-21T20:36:06","date_gmt":"2020-08-21T17:36:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jonmarkelizondo.com\/blog\/?p=548"},"modified":"2020-08-21T20:36:40","modified_gmt":"2020-08-21T17:36:40","slug":"the-list-of-important-things-for-humans-to-do-updated-8-21-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jonmarkelizondo.com\/blog\/?p=548","title":{"rendered":"The Evolving list of important things for humans to do.  updated 8\/21\/2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Evolving List of Important Things for Humans to Do.<\/p>\n<p>This is meant to be a living list, a teaching list, a list that grows, a to do list for humankind.<br \/>\nadd to this list in comments&#8230; but I retain the right to edit your additions.<br \/>\nThis list is not in any special order.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Act like we are all related.\u00a0 Make decisions from this understanding.<\/li>\n<li>make all resources sustainable<\/li>\n<li>make plastics out of plants.\n<ul>\n<li>make plant plastic better to solve current issues (heat, moisture, etc)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>clean up ocean plastic<\/li>\n<li>balloons &#8211; make them out of bio-degradable materials or stop making them.<\/li>\n<li>clean up plastic everywhere.<\/li>\n<li>use mushrooms to clean up oil spills and plastics and more.<\/li>\n<li>use hemp for many things&#8230; including paper.<\/li>\n<li>create a new hemp industry&#8230; I&#8217;ve heard bamboo is good for this too.<\/li>\n<li>end the war machine on the planet.<\/li>\n<li>transition all who are a part of the war machine to new vocations.<\/li>\n<li>be patient with each other.<\/li>\n<li>universal health care.<\/li>\n<li>work on refugee solutions.<\/li>\n<li>end the USA concentration camps and reunite all families.<\/li>\n<li>random acts of kindness<\/li>\n<li>senseless acts of beauty<\/li>\n<li>universal preschool<\/li>\n<li>more recess, more outdoor time for all children.<\/li>\n<li>plants billions of trees.<\/li>\n<li>end clear cut practices, replace with something sustainable.<\/li>\n<li>end fracking.<\/li>\n<li>empower build a sustainable energy infrastructure that honors nature.<\/li>\n<li>reforest the deserts.<\/li>\n<li>reallocate money in budgets for services that are needed &#8211; Defund the police does not mean get rid of police&#8230; it means take away responsibilities that the police have that would be better addressed with other strategies and programs.\u00a0 Like Mental Health Services, Like addressing homelessness.\u00a0 and much more.<\/li>\n<li>make amends to all indigenous tribes \/ peoples.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Evolving List of Important Things for Humans to Do.
